Jens van Tricht

Jens van Tricht founded Emancipator in 2013, encouraged by a rally call from women's organizations for male commitment, and inspired by the MenEngage Global Alliance, a worldwide network of organizations that work with boys and men on gender equality. And together with all kinds of men who were already individually working on various themes around male emancipation. Emancipator was going to connect all of that. "Emancipator came about because it had to."

Jens is now director-manager and, in his own words, "more of a manager than I would like". He proclaims the message, puts the subject on the agenda, inspires people, transfers all his thirty years of knowledge and experience, gives training and workshops, and is also responsible for the day-to-day running of the organization - together with his colleagues.

Jens studied (at the time) women's studies in Amsterdam, and lives in Amsterdam.
