Emancipator is working within the National Action Programme to tackle sexual transgressive behavior and sexual violence (NAP) to engage boys and men in the prevention of (sexual) violence.

Alliance Politica works towards the lasting equal representation of women in all their diversity in Dutch politics, for a fair balance of power and full (gender) equality in society. Politica is a collaboration of Stem op een Vrouw (Vote for a Woman), de Nederlandse Vrouwenraad (the Dutch Women's Council) and WO=MEN, with Emancipator as strategic partner and with support from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW).

The Alliance Becoming Who You Are consists of VHTO, Stichting School en Veiligheid, Movisie and Emancipator and works together with the education field to ensure that all pupils feel free to make the choices that suit them best, whether it is about their hobbies, curriculum, study or profession. Within the alliance, Emancipator focuses on boys: how can we provide them with the freedom to make choices traditionally considered ‘for girls’?

In Utrecht, we are working to prevent street harassment. We provide the municipality with advice and input on the development of policies against street harassment, and together with Fairspace we have made the toolkit Tackling Street Harassment: How do you start the conversation?

In addition, we offer workshops and training in Utrecht on engaging men, and training in the use of the toolkit.

Since 2025, we are collaborating with universities from Germany, Sweden, Italy, Poland, Greece and the Netherlands on the EU-funded HORIZON project on how to bring men back from online far-right rabbit holes, and how to prevent them from ending up there. Together with the Amsterdam-based theatre group Via Berlin, we are developing an intervention, based on the study by the research partners. A number of partners from MenEngage Europe are also involved in the project.

In Amsterdam, we work on behalf of and in cooperation with the municipality to prevent gender-based violence and street harassment. We work to raise awareness among key figures and actors, give workshops to different target groups, and offer training to key figures to activate them to contribute themselves to further awareness among boys and men in Amsterdam.

IMAGES is an international comparative survey of men's experiences, coordinated by Equimundo. Emancipator compiled a Dutch IMAGES report based on existing research on men in relation to the various IMAGES topics, and is making the case for a complete IMAGES in the Netherlands.

Since 2016, Emancipator has been organizing the global White Ribbon Campaign in the Netherlands between 25 November and 10 December, calling on boys and men to speak up and act against gender-based violence.
